First Aid Compliance & Employer Responsibilities
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) does not directly regulate training providers but sets workplace first aid compliance guidelines. Employers must ensure their selected training meets the required standards for their industry, covering essential first aid skills and workplace risks.
✔ Recognised First Aid Qualifications
Regulated Qualifications (RQF) – Ofqual-accredited and provided by awarding bodies like TQUK
Vocational Technical Qualifications (VTQ) – Accepted where they align with HSE requirements and follow recognised first aid protocols
Employers should conduct a first aid needs assessment to determine the appropriate level of training required for their workplace, ensuring compliance with UK Resuscitation Council guidelines.

This depends on your workplace requirements, level of risk, and personal needs:
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW): Ideal for low-risk environments
