Blended Learning for First Aid Training

A Flexible & Effective Approach to Workplace Safety Certification

  • Blended learning combines online theoretical training with in-person practical assessment to ensure participants gain both knowledge and hands-on experience in emergency response. Approved by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive), blended learning allows workplaces and individuals to complete part of their first aid training remotely, followed by classroom-based practical sessions.

  • ✔ Flexibility – Learners complete theory modules at their own pace before attending practical training.
✔ Compliance – Meets HSE and UK Resuscitation Council guidelines for regulated first aid courses.
✔ Time-Efficient – Reduces in-classroom hours while maintaining full course certification requirements.
✔ Cost-Effective – Lowers costs for organisations by reducing training time and facility usage.
✔ Engaging & Accessible – Interactive video content, quizzes, and digital resources enhance learning.

How Blended Learning Works for First Aid Certification

Blended learning follows a structured approach to balance remote learning with face-to-face practical training

  • ✅ After completing the online portion, learners attend a classroom-based practical session.
✅ Practical training focuses on hands-on demonstrations in:

    • Performing CPR on adults, children, and infants

    • Using an AED (defibrillator) correctly

    • Practical skill evaluation in CPR, wound care, and emergency scenarios

✅ Upon successful completion, learners receive an HSE-recognised First Aid certificate, valid for three years.
